SG Survey offer worldwide expertise in a variety of disciplines relating to private yachts and commercial shipping. Their primary offering is a comprehensive a range of survey and inspection services delivered by a highly experienced global team. A surveyor will typically manage anything from the entire build process of a super yacht to the individual compliance inspections of shipping cargo containers.
The Problem
SG Survey struggled with inefficient, error-prone manual processes that delayed critical reporting and affected compliance. This inefficiency hindered prompt client service and made coordinating a global team challenging, highlighting the need for a streamlined digital solution.
The V88 Solution
Our solution for SG Survey comprises three applications:
- The global surveying team run a mobile app on their devices. They record survey and inspection details on behalf of clients including images to identify specific defects or non-compliances.
- SG clients can access surveys and inspects carried out on their behalf via a simple and secure client portal. Here they can review the results of the SG surveying team’s work within minutes of it being submitted. They can also download elements in PDF format for use in other legacy systems.
- The SG admin team utilise a secure web portal at the UK offices. They can review the details recorded by the remote team and add further notes or other information as required. They can also enable client access.
All applications were built using the Glide Platform.

- Complete their surveys and inspections in a more structured manner, capturing the relevant details more accurately and in a shorter time.

The Admin Team are now able to:
- Maintain a real-time overview of surveys and inspections that are currently in progress or have recently been completed.
- Understand trends from their data that can be used, for example, to highlight common areas for non-compliance.
- Enable client access in order to provide extremely high levels of service and client satisfaction.
